A final word about my new blog

I doubt if many people read my last blog, it lacked focus and was all over the place at times. Having started a new job, I didn’t think I’d have the time to blog anymore, so I just plain gave up on it.

I didn’t give up on blogs altogether. Having discovered the joys of RSS I kept up with my favourite blogs and decided to have another stab.

Obviously this blog is all about PR. Some people think my profession is all about spin and others think it’s something worthwhile. Over the coming months I’ll discuss my opinions and try to make the process of public relations as transparent as possible.

Unfortunately, like most bloggers I’ll end up talking about blogging and other blogs. However, rather than simply engage in the back-slapping that seems to go on in the blogosphere at times, I’ll put my own spin on it (Note: I actually used the word spin!)

I’ve built up a lot of conversation points from other blogs, so excuse me at times if you think I’m dragging up old news for the first month or two (I’ve got a lot of stuff stored up!)

Finally, those of you that have the patience to read this blog will begin to notice that I am quite sarcastic. So for those that don’t know me, I’ll use <sarcasm> </sarcasm> tags just so you don’t think I’m an absolute raving mad moron.

Good luck with the new blog. We’ll luck at tidying up the design in 2 weeks time - minor things … like saying it’s Proudly Powered by BDM!, or in the current case - ‘Sponsored by BDM’.

Your invoice is in snail-mail! ;-)

One of the best ‘blogs’ (I hate that word) I’ve come across linked to a lot of reference material. Not news, everyone get’s in or around the same news, but PowerPoints, Tutotials, PDF’s on PR / Marketing / Business. People love downloading resources.

To kick off … why not do a 1 paragraph summary of your favourite changethis.com manifesto and link to the file.

    Cheers,
    Ed.
