If you thought the paparazzi were bad, then get ready for the blogarazzi
Published June 23rd, 2005 in E-PRPicturephoning.com report that a new phenomenon is taking off in Britain as starstruck fans begin to snap their favourite celebs and moblog it.
The Paperazzi are bad enough as it is, but with this new wave of cameraphone waving bandits, I’d stick my neck out to say things will probably get worse.
First off, you only have to look at the British tabloids where their staff are armed with high spec cameraphones so they can instantly capture images that look real and more personal. Flick through a couple of pages, namely to the entertainment section then and you’ll se that society is developing an obsession with catching celebs on a bad hair day.
Now throw in your regular punter with no sense what is normal practice and you’re pretty much guaranteed that this new phenomenon is guaranteed to cause a bit of heartache in the years to come.
People are demanding enough as it is of celebrities and amateur paperazzi (if there possibly could be such a thing) are bound to strain relations further. Cue more six foot tall and six foot wide bodyguards please.
