TV3 to get interactive
Published June 29th, 2005 in PR in IrelandTV3 will have its first ever interactive week between the 25th and 31st of July. During the week they will be offering viewers a number of ways to interact with the station including:
- “State of the Nation” news poll
- Choose your Sunday movie
- Late night interactive gaming
This is hardly anything new in the greater scheme of things, but it is good to see in an Irish context. Our broadcasters are finally getting round to offering the same kind of features that are available on other stations abroad.
Their teletext channel will be relaunched (again!) during the week also. Threetext is one of the most disappointing features on the channel, despite not having much competition TV3 have never quite managed to get it right.
Sponsorship and promotional opportunities are available for the week. However if TV3 really want to engage with Irish audiences, maybe they should get round to offering some more Irish programming, rather than simply be a pale version of UTV!
