Jason Clarke Photography push things foward for PR photography
Published September 28th, 2005 in PR in IrelandWhen I took office, only high energy physicists had ever heard of what is called the Worldwide Web…. Now even my cat has its own page - Bill Clinton
Jason Clarke Photography have launched an Extranet for their photography services which will see them move two steps ahead of their competitors in Ireland.
PR agencies and their clients will now be able to login and check their contact sheets from a photocall online before deciding what to issue to the press. This makes the entire process far more efficient and will no doubt lead to a reduction in heart attacks among the Public Relations community.
Instead of having to wait for a courier or trying to magnify contact sheets in Photoshop, you can view enlarged thumbnails and email clients a thumbnail for their approval.
I for one am going to start using Jason Clarke Photography even more often now because of the online service.
As an aside, if anyone is doing a photocall with kids (It can be an absolute nightmare trust me!) use Naoise from Maxwell Photography.

WOW! that site takes me back to my days in Angel with Kasper who designed it. The design has stood up well.
I would have though an extranet for photographers would be a must. Especially today when an extranet can be set up in 5 mins with little technical know how with the likes of Basecamp and others.
Yeah after a couple of minutes use I’m not as impressed though. The sign up is a bit stupid, it’s laid out as though you were a US resident and seems to give you access to all the jobs they have done for your agency rather than the ones you have ordered. I’m sure there’s a benefit to having access to all the photography, but I think they need to refine the system in terms of how you can break down photography from individual jobs.
