RTE to start podcasting trial soon
Published September 28th, 2005 in PR in IrelandThrow your heart over the fence and the rest will follow - Norman Vincent Peale
It looks like RTE have finally decided to follow the lead of the BBC, Sky News et al and venture down the route of podcasting judging by recent post from Hilary NY (the majority of the post is in Irish btw except for the email from RTE.)
There are no downloads or a timeframe up on the RTE site yet. They only offer streaming content in Real Audio format which is quite annoying also.
Anyway it’s good to see that RTE have finally gotten the thumb out. Near FM and FM 104 beat them to it though and I still think that a station like NewsTalk 106 would really benefit from offering podcasts.

That’s ‘cos you’re a newtalk fanboy!
Of course everyone is always going to think the station and shows they enjoy would make the best Podcasts.
