Public Relations faux pas or just a mistake?
Published October 18th, 2005 in GeneralWhy is it that if a company makes a stupid decision, it’s a Public Relations faux pas? I’m sorry, but what happened to bad management, discrimination or just a plain old mistake? Instead we have a new catch-all term that seems to suffice instead.
I think I heard some ridiculous quote yesterday that the government wasn’t going to hire anymore PR consultants. I’m not sure what that will achieve exactly.
Forbidding politicians to hire PR consultants or imposing term limits? I wonder which one would have a more positive impact on how our country is run.
Seems like a nice way to pass the buck to be honest, or maybe I’m just annoyed that a Public Relations practitioner didn’t come up with the term
