What's funnier in Ireland is the little gossip column that seems to follow the models. The Glenda Gilson/Brian O'Driscoll stories are the best.

On a sour note. Someone pointed out that the Sunday Independent also put Glenda Gilson on the front cover of the paper last week alongside the Liam Lawlor story. Not only did they get their facts wrong, but they also slapped his neice up beside him. How low can you go I guess.

In the early 90s (help, that makes me sound old) the agency that I was working at did an excellent twist on the old "model on a car" automotive PR shot. At the Birmingham Motor Show we were representing an automotive parts company, which simply was never going to be of interest compared to a new car launch.

We use their product boxes to build up the shape of a sports car and then had scantily clad MALE models draped over it. It made dozens of regional papers, motor magazines and the nationals (The Mirror and Independent from memory)

I have long assumed that the Independant has a large share in a Model Agency bacause of the number of shots they print. These are not even photocalls to promote a product or service. Just a pic of "Name" and "from blah and is a great model".

Models? Bikinis? A lot of releases in our local papers tend to be someone dressed in some sort of animal suit named Larry the LadyBird or Rover the Dog promoting some kind of initiative.

Very glad to say I've never donned a costume yet.......yet!
