Journalist self-destructs live on air
Published November 26th, 2005 in PR in IrelandAnybody remotely interesting is mad, in some way or another
The ‘In fact ah‘ website has posted a video clip of Eamonn Dunphy’s rant on RTE about the Roy Keane saga. It’s a riveting watch as one of Ireland’s leading broadcast journalists loses the plot over the course of fifteen minutes.
Instant Punditry also points out that his tenure at NewsTalk 106 might be drawing to a close soon due to his stagnant listenership figures, despite his headline billing and salary.
Eamonn Dunphy is looking at the prospect of having to put a second high profile media venture failing, as well as not having Roy Keane to talk about due to his retirement within eighteen months. So what does the future hold for Dunphy?
I for one hope that he doesn’t slip into obscurity, he’s one of the most entertaining characters in the media. Controversy sells!
