The day the music died

A long, long time ago…
I can still remember
How that music used to make me smile

It’s official…my iPod has finally died.

It’s been a long time coming. Obviously when you have to squeeze your iPod like a vice grips after charging it to get it to work, you realise something is wrong.

What’s annoying about it dying is that I was finally about to start podcasting. No I’m sitting with an iTalk connection and a dead iPod.

It doesn’t seem to even work for disk use so it’s not like I can even use it as an external storage unit. On the other hand I get to break in open and see what’s inside an iPod. Hmmm…the iPod autopsy could be a future post.

The downside - I have to actually listen to what people around me are saying on public transport.

The upside - I get to buy a video iPod….anyone want to buy it for me?

Just collected mine after getting it fixed for free from image supply systems. There based there just of campden st in Dublin and providing its still in warranty, all you have to do is get a case number off apple and they’ll replace it within 5 days. I know you know this already Piaras, but for anyone feeling a little ticked off about their ipod, go there. For those of you looking to get an ipod, I’d say stay away. Their the best marketed, but thats it. Give me a Creative anyday. But i’m known for being different.

Crap, that’s shitty, it lasted for a long while though! Dunno if I’d be pushed on the Video iPod, I’d wait a while… My mini is still going after 6 months, so far no probs *touch wood*. Hard to live without…

Thats what they want you to believe! Whats it Brad Pitt said in Fight Club..” The things you own, end up owning you”. Of course you live without it Jenny! I actually got it fixed in the end. My grudge has weakened a little.
