About bloody time…
Published January 29th, 2006 in PR in IrelandThe Dublin Tourism Office has begun to offer audio podcast guides for Dublin (via Damien Mulley and Smart Mobs). The first in the series, Georgian Dublin, is available now, and will be follwed by nine other titles with accompanying brochures. This is something along the lines of what I hope to do if I ever get round to launching my own Dublin Tourism website.
As Damien suggests, the project should really be opened up to get submissions from the public. What better way to get a taste of Dublin than from its inhabitants and people who have visited Ireland’s capital?
I hope this is a sign to other organisations of the innovative possibilities that an online campaign can add to its overall communications strategy.

Think it’s a great idea - they could have a ‘public’ space where people could upload their own personal ‘walks’ or tours of the area - just another example of the great things one can do with podcasting…
