Interesting statistics on Internet popularity in Ireland
Published March 12th, 2006 in E-PRFor all the surveys and percentages about the popularity in the Internet in Ireland and the lack of broadband take-up, I came across two interesting statistics this week which shows that Irish people are using the Internet a lot more than is thought.
I just watched the infamous Eamonn Dunphy outburst on YouTube again, it’s now been viewed 3110 times. Daragh McGrath reports that the infamous Pat Kenny mp3 has been downloaded 10,000 times. Pat is a RTE broadcaster who made a bit of a faux pas recently on air when he read out a text message which was a double entendre.
Just goes to show Irish organisations once again that the Internet is a channel that is being completely underutilised in the communications mix at present.
