Why are Irish companies so hesitant to run online campaigns?
Published April 22nd, 2006 in E-PRA company could spend a couple of thousand on a photocall which may never land in a newspaper. Yet for the same amount of cash, a company could launch an online initiative like Nike’s RunLondon which can directly engage with a specific audience over a long period of time. It may only end up ever being used by a handful of people, but it doesn’t involve the same risk as whether a photo will be picked up by a picture editor.
I think it’s quite funny that companies would be a lot more hesitant to doing something on the Internet as opposed to splashing the cash on a photocall. Why is it that more Irish companies aren’t using the web and how long is it going to take for us to get to the tipping point?
