After almost two years, I’ve finally taken my first steps back into the gym. A light jog on the treadmill had me looking around at the different television screens in order to stave off the boredom. A caption on Sky News caught my attention as one of the guests was promptly referred to as a former ‘Spin Doctor’.

Quite an odd caption in my opinion. If it’s good enough to refer to someone in my industry as a spin doctor, does that mean I can call anyone in the construction industry a ‘Brickey’ or a policeman a ‘Pig’? Don’t think so.

who was the guest? ally campbell describes himself as a spin doctor. ditto lance price. certainly in the labour party, there doesn;t seem to be any shame associated with spin.

To be fair, spin doctor and Brickey aren’t that bad. Pig is offensive. Pehaps the term copper would have been better.

Didn’t actually catch the guest’s name.
