Good news for Channel 6
Published February 5th, 2007 in GeneralThe Irish Times reports that Channel 6 will be available on the Sky platform from today (subscription required). Ciaran Hancock points out that the move will help them “achieve its stated target of a 3 per cent share of 15-34 audiences this year.” The station’s move to negotiate its way out of its exclusivity deal with NTL overshadowed some excellent media buying by the Channel 6’s programmers though. The station picked up the Irish rights for Heroes which could go some way to cracking their target market, if the show’s success stateside is anything to go by.
