What I dont understand about Ryanair is shouldn't they stop making so many pr gaffes, litigating and all the other stuff that costs them a lot of money and pass the savings from that onto their customers???? It must cost them a fortune every year....

The photo is very pixelated on their site, so while it's a small bit risque it's also quite playful.

Do you not think the girl is pretty? The picture is not very clear, but she apears to have a nice tummy and good legs.

When I saw the ad in the paper I did think it was a bit risque but the only thing the ASAI can do is give the slap on the wrist you mention.

When it is a product that is in demand, there is no such thing as bad publicity.I can't think of anything that could knock Ryanair off its perch.

Consumers will lap up a product at the right price - all other concerns will go out the window. Using another example of the quite widespread differences in pricing between UK retailers and Ireland. The amount of negative publicity about that is staggering and yet we continue to allow ourselves to be fleeced because we are told of the higher costs in the Republic. And yet, Irish suppliers to the big multiples are told to be as competitive as UK suppliers. But when they say "our costs are higher, we can't do that" - the multiples don't accept that line of argument.

It does beg the question - what WOULD make a consumer vote with their wallet?

I don't really see the problem - it's nothing more obscene than a Britney Spears video and while that was aimed at children I don't know all that many under-18s who go looking for flights on Ryanair.com.

Besides, if anyone had any sense they'd know not to take Michael O'Leary's bait, especially for something so tame.
