Piaras Kelly PR - Public Relations in Ireland

The Irish Media Contacts Directory has just been updated for 2008 and is available to buy from mediacontact.ie. It’s like the bible for the Irish PR industry, walk into any Public Relations agency and it will be seen on a number of desks. Those interested in doing their own media relations should pick up a copy as it gives all the information you need to start engaging the press.

Readers of the Edelman Dublin blog will also have noticed that I have started referencing the mediacontact.ie regularly in our weekly links round-up. The website is a nice extension of the Directory offering regular media news. However where it is really gaining traction is its free media jobs section. Up until recently the PRII website had a monopoly on job adverts, but I’ve had a couple of people comment to me that they had checked the site for vacancies recently or had posted their own advert..
