Ireland’s Biggest Flashmob

At 1.30pm on Saturday 14 November, approximately 800 people turned up for a flashmob event in St Patrick’s Street in Cork. A video from the event is embedded below. The event was organised by the National Campaign for the Arts. It’s easy to see from the video that the event is well choreographed and is the best flashmob activity to date in Ireland. Read more about it in the Irish Examiner.

Brilliant! That beats organising a protest march for impact - the unions could learn a thing or two.

This is very very very cool, that has brought a smile to my face! I wish I had been there at the time! Time to go spread this around!

Flashmobs make me happy - and what a great song to do it too. Fair play to the Corkonians for doing this, and having the craic while doing so by the looks of it. A jealous Jackeen. Come on Grafton Street and Dundrum Shopping centre - we can do it!
